Patent

The unique design of the LOZOVA MACHINERY design office received a patent of the State Enterprise “Ukrpatent”. A screw type conveyor of a special design, which is installed directly into the vehicle body, became the new patented invention. The authors of the project are Aleksey Grinenko, Chief Designer of Ukrainian Design Bureau of Transmission and Chassis (UKBTSh), and Deputy Chief Designer Vadim Sklyarov.

The unloading device is designed for the two-axle dump semi-trailer ALBION XL. With the help of the screw it is possible to transfer all types of seeds of grain and oil-bearing-crops, as well as other granular materials, including mineral fertilizers.

According to Aleksey Grinenko, the screw type conveyor will significantly expand the functionality of the trailer. “Installing the screw will enable farmers to use the ALBION XL as a dump trailer and as a powerful conveyor-hopper capable of unloading 20 tons of cargo in 2.5 minutes. At the same time, agrarians do not have to spend additional funds to purchase a specialized conveyor-hopper.“

A. Grinenko also noted that the use of the ALBION XL with the screw installed allows three combine harvesters to carry out the work of four by reducing downtime during unloading.

In addition to significant economic benefits, this solution difference is also the ability to unload the trailer in the traditional way with the screw installed. And to transport a wider range of goods, agrarians just need to remove the screw, which is easy to dismantle even in the field.

The screw type conveyor is equipped with a mobile folding mechanism, in transport mode it does not go beyond the dimensions of the trailer and makes it possible to move on public roads.

We remind that, the ALBION XL trailer was created under the joint production of “LOZOVA MACHINERY” and the Larrington Trailers British company.
